The AK-74u is a menacing little weapon that packs a punch. Though compact in size, this Soviet-designed submachine gun can spit hot lead at a blistering rate thanks to its high cyclic rate of fire. Its stubby barrel barely contains the muzzle flash and concussive blast of its rapidly-fired 5.45x39mm rounds. Weighing only 3 kg, the 'Krinkov' is extremely maneuverable, making it ideal for vehicle crews and special forces. The matte black finish of its steel receiver hints at its covert operations role. Despite its origins in Cold War conflicts, the AK-74u remains a formidable and ubiquitous personal defense weapon to this day.
How could we at KwolfsWan pass up this gel blaster? In this blog post, I'll unbox a 100% replica toy gun - high quality, high performance, only at Kwolfswan.com
It takes a small knife to untie this thing from its fuzzy plush carry case. The squishy bolt handle, plastic wrap - the unboxing is full of tasty and solid details.
Once unwrapped, thanks to its size and the accessories box design, everything is neatly laid out - the gun body, stock, accessory box, and magazine are all tidy and clear.
The stock is full metal cast, feels like real steel. Not sure if it's ripped off a real rifle or not!
Pay attention to orientation - insert stock, then screw in this white stainless steel bolt.
With the bolt in place, press the dot on the receiver end to fold the stock.
Stock folded, mag loaded, this perfect AK member is ready for action. No spec ops soldier kid could resist this toy!
On the other side, the bolt, lever, details are a 200% copy of the real thing. So it can even be a prop for show!
Unfold the stock - dang, even more badass!
The magazine design is different from other blasters - big flip top for pouring in tons of gels.
Mag release lever is old school Soviet style! Satisfying clicks on every mag insertion.
The rear sight on the upper cover looks sweet too. The release tab is grippy and easy to operate.
The upper cover can swap to a railed version - sights, lasers, scopes - deck it out!
Except the receiver and stock, everything is plastic - but the muzzle, front sight, handguard - their shape, color, texture - no one would think they're toy plastic. So don't take this gel blaster out on the streets, folks! Keep it home or in the yard for good clean fun with the family!
The receiver details are so on point, the various bolts and metal parts plus the Cyrillic - I'm certain this is a real AK-74u fresh from the factory right after quality check.
The receiver is 90% metal - taps with a knife make a crisp metallic ping.
The molded seam on the grip and mag don't bother my love for this piece.
The folding stock locks perfectly onto the body - portability, stability, compactness - perfectly replicated in this toy version.
Palm-sized AK-74u gel blaster, weighing a kilo or two - every boy's dream!
So I've changed my mind - for a 3-day mission, I'll pack this along with the AR-15, leaving the handgun behind.
Both are such well-made toy guns - please don't bring them outdoors to play!
Compared to a full AK-47, it's so easy to carry!
Even when folded, the AK-47 is way bigger!
The mags are interchangeable - on a real battlefield they'd both take 5.45x39mm ammo, right?
